Dave O'Neil, Well Elder Companion in Raleigh and Cary area of NCBorn in Newcastle upon Tyne England, Dave served in the British Royal Air Force for over 13 years, and then worked as an electrician in various factories in England, before moving to Boise Idaho in 2008 to transition into a new direction in life.

In January 2009 he began his Bachelors of Social Work degree at Boise State University, graduating in May 2013 with his BSW. He moved to North Carolina in the summer of 2013.

His life experiences of being in the military, raising 3 daughters, and being a grandfather to 5 awesome grand kids coupled with his focused BSW education highlights his passion for being a ‘people person’.   He appreciates the wellspring of health and well-being that occurs through sharing time and being in service to others.

Because Dave is self-employed he provides individualized, caring and authentic relationships, focused on meeting the needs of his clients.

Dave is First Aid and CPR certified.

While a non-smoker himself, he is comfortable caring for those who do.

Dave and his wife are part of the management team at a senior independent living complex in Raleigh; this was his catalyst to become an elder companion and his passion to work with elders continues.
